A positive review from the review site Capterra highlighted how Chargify allowed them to create customizable product options and pricing with the API. They also liked the professionally designed invoices and billing statements as well as the easy to use interface and monthly dashboard. They said they were able to use the API to allow their customers to change their plan, enable one-time add-ons, and update their payment method on file all within the interface.
Most Helpful Negative User Review
One negative reviewer on Capterra mentioned that Chargify’s reporting is weak, especially on metrics for managing recurring revenue businesses, such as monthly recurring revenue, churn rates, average revenue per account and more. They said they had to use 3rd party applications with imported Chargify data to get these reports.

Chargify offers two plans that range in price from $149 – $299 per month + 1.2% of revenue for all card transactions. Some of the main differences between the plans are their offline and invoice billing features, as well as each plan’s scalability with a growing business.

Chargify is one of the more costly invoicing software, with the most basic plan starting at $149 per month, which will set a small business back almost $1800 a year not including the revenue percentage incurred every month. However, for businesses that rely mostly on recurring billings and subscription based services, they offer a useful and convenient solution.
Multiple currency transactions are accepted by Chargify. They also have a wide range of payment gateway options with their 300 available integrations. Note that this means any additional costs incurred per transaction will vary depending on the payment gateway a client chooses.
