We reviewed seven different help desk services including Zoho Support, salesforce desk, zendesk, kayako, SupportBee, freshdesk, happyfox, and Deskero.
All 7 companies reviewed had very high customer ratings of at least 4 stars.
While Deskero had the highest ratings with almost five stars across the board, the lowest rated product offering, Zoho Support, had 4 stars. Why is everyone getting such great reviews? Perhaps, businesses are comparing the help desk services to managing customer inquiries through email inboxes. As a relatively new product category, customers of help desk software may not have experience working with multiple products in the space, and therefore have a less critical eye.

The most expensive help desk service reviewed was over 8 times more expensive than the cheapest. The market leader, zendesk is right in the middle of the range.
There is a tremendous price difference between the different helpdesk services. For five agents, the price varies from $24 per month with SupportBee to $195 per month with kayako.
