eDiets Survey Also Finds Aniston Edges JLo for ‘Most Attractive’ Derriere
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla., Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ — eDiets.com, the leading online destination for diet-related programs, information and resources, recently surveyed Americans to get the bottom line on bottoms. The survey team at eDiets, decided to have a little fun and tucked in a question that asked Americans which celebrity has the most appealing buns. It turned out to be a cheek-to-cheek race as actress Jennifer Aniston narrowly out polled actress-singer Jennifer Lopez 46.5% vs. 45.2%.
“It seems while both Jennifers have different shapes, they almost equally appealed to the masses,” said Raphael Calzadilla Lead Fitness Expert for eDiets.com and eFitness.com. “While celebrity behinds may be something we can aspire to, the most important thing you can do for your body is to consistently follow a healthy diet and exercise program.” When asked about the appearance of their own behind, only five percent of Americans are very satisfied. Awareness of one’s body and health are the first steps to recognizing a weight loss or fitness program is needed. These questions were formulated to get Americas to think about their bodies and to start or continue a regimen with healthiness first and foremost,” said Calzadilla. In the anonymous online polls that covered three surveys, each with one question of a distinct topic, respondents gave their true feelings to the following questions: We all have our favorite celebrity, so when eDiets asked “Which celebrity do you think has the most attractive butt?” When the final results were tallied, Aniston sat in the driver’s seat. JLo was the runner-up while Oprah Winfrey received seven percent and Calista Flockhart, one percent.
* Jennifer Aniston 46.5%
* Jennifer Lopez 45.2%
* Oprah Winfrey 7.1%
* Calista Flockhart 1.0%
Looks are everything to some people. So when asked “How satisfied are you with the appearance of your butt?” Only five percent of respondents were very satisfied and presumably would not change a thing. The key finding here was that nearly three-quarters who responded were not too pleased with their hindquarters.
* Very dissatisfied 42.0%
* Somewhat dissatisfied 29.3%
* Satisfied 9.0%
* Somewhat satisfied 13.7%
* Very satisfied 5.8%
We’ve all heard the adage, “Don’t just sit there! Do something!” Part of that can be interpreted as regular fitness for those on diets or health plans. So, eDiets asked, “How many times a week do you perform exercises to improve the shape of your butt?” While more than 60% polled do some form of exercise because they may not like the appearance of their behind, 37 percent of respondents aren’t doing anything much about it.
* None 37.7%
* 1 – 2 25.7%
* 3 – 4 27.6%
* 5 or more times per week 8.7%
“Even though obesity is spreading at epidemic proportions, Americans feverishly desire to keep their behinds in an appealing shape,” said Calzadilla. “The desire can be a driving factor, but it is working out and eating right, not just wishing, that will get the job done. While genetics plays some role, celebrities maintain a proper diet and exercise routine despite demanding schedules. Don’t envy them, join them in attaining the body you desire and deserve.” Since its founding in 1997, eDiets has helped more than 1.2 million members to date custom-build nutrition plans that best accommodate their individual needs, preferences and lifestyles.
