Summary of Negative Brandwatch Reviews
Users who gave Brandwatch a negative review complained that the feature for Sentiment Analysis (the automated process of understanding an opinion from written or spoken language) is not always accurate, like in less spoken languages such as Italian. They added that users who have never used social listening tools will find the tools difficult to use at first, especially if the user does not know the necessary keywords to build a query.
One user who gave Brandwatch a negative review on G2 Crowd said that the Sentiment Analysis is hit-and-miss, as the platform struggles to pick up nuances in language, such as sarcasm. He added that the platform seems to automatically associate certain words and phrases with positive/negative sentiment, irrespective of context.
Brandwatch pricing is not readily available on its website. However, according to a third-party site, its pricing begins at $1,000/month for 10,000 mentions. Its main features include unlimited queries and users, historical data, data storage, and all analytics features.

What are User Roles?
Brandwatch uses a concept called User Roles, designed to give the owner, i.e. the Administrator, the ability to control what other users can and cannot do within Brandwatch. There are five pre-defined User Roles: Admin, Regular, Analyst+, Analyst and View Only. Each User Role has a different level of access to features within the platform. Only those with an Admin, Regular or Analyst+ user roles are able to create, modify, and share Dashboards with any other Brandwatch user.
Can users see a colleague’s Dashboard?
When a user first creates a Dashboard, it is set so that it can only be viewed by that user. By default, Dashboards are unshared to others. Before a user can view a colleague’s Dashboard, he/she will need to ask them to share it with them. Dashboards may be shared with Nobody, Individual Users, or All Members within the project.
