Breadcrumb POS runs in conjunction with Upserve’s Restaurant Management system. Though the app is downloadable for free, you need to be subscribed to Upserve to be able to enjoy the services the POS offers.
No POS hardware is included in any of the subscription packages. A hardware set that includes an iPad Air, a stand (with card swiper), receipt printer and cash drawer will cost you $1,027. For a simpler option, you can just purchase an iPad and a credit card swiper for around $369.
Though there is no limit to the number of users who can sign in to the system, the number of Breadcrumb POS instances that can run at the same time is limited. With every Upserve subscription plan, your first month’s single terminal license is free. After that, you will have to pay the $50 / month terminal license fee. If you decide to add more terminals, you will pay $50 / month for each of them as well.

For a small, single-location business, your cheapest option is to get Upserve’s $99 / month core package then pay the one time fee of $1,027 for the complete POS setup.
