They also find it very easy to use — even for users with no technical experience or those who are new to using social media management platforms.
What Hootsuite does not do well
Users who gave Hootsuite a negative review said that the app is occasionally clunky and glitchy — saying that there are times when it freezes for no reason. Some also said that the dashboard looks outdated and that the free version needs a lot of improvements.
Most Helpful Positive User Review
“Hootsuite provides an easy-to-use interface and platform to manage your social media program. The interface allows you to preview how the social media post will look on each platform, but also allows you to schedule in advance. The included Dashboard allows for review of posted media and social listening, while the publisher provides the means to schedule out your posts in advance. The Calendar allows you to view and ensure there is no overlap or crowding of posts.”

Most Helpful Negative User Review
“The platform’s design is still quite outdated and not as user-friendly as most modern SMM platforms, and there tends to be a lot of technical issues with scheduled posts. The link shortening feature is not intuitive and is clunky. I have never used the paid version, so I cannot comment on the efficiency or user-friendliness of those features. I believe that if Hootsuite updated their platform to be as modern and sleek as their Hootsuite Academy platform is, it would be a much more attractive social media solution.”
