Users who left negative reviews cited that some extra features are not included in available plans and have to be purchased at an additional cost. It is notable, however, that negative reviews on IdeaHost were rare and most users really liked their services in general.
Most Helpful Positive Review
A user who left a positive review on the review site, Top 10 Best Website Hosting, said that IdeaHost is very easy to use and is great for beginners. The user said that the site dashboard is intuitive and clean, making it easy for the users to navigate through it. Additionally, the user shared that customer support is great. He mentioned that IdeaHost can’t be faulted on speed, professionalism and knowledge of the agents he encountered on the site’s live chat help.
Most Helpful Negative Review
A user who left a negative review on Top 10 Best Website Hosting said that because the service and company is new, there isn’t a great deal of published information such as product information and FAQ’s on IdeaHost’s site which makes it hard for new visitors to evaluate their offerings and compare it from other web hosting providers.
IdeaHost has 3 subscription options ranging from $1.19 to $11.98 per month depending on the type of plan and duration of contract. Do note that rates for the 12 and 24-month contracts tend to change regularly based on the site’s existing promotion.
There’s not much information on the differences between the pricing plans on IdeaHost’s website.
However, published features across all plans include a free domain for all types for the first 12 months (users who cancel the account but decide to keep the domain name will be charged $15), unlimited domains, free and unlimited email accounts and a free website builder for beginners who don’t have an existing website yet.
Marketing support tools are also included such as $100 worth of Bing credits. Customer service include 24/7 phone and email support and online tutorials.
