MailChimp offers a Forever Free plan that comes with a limit of up to 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails per month. If your business is growing to the point where you need to send more than that, you can get a paid plan on a “Pay As You Go” or “Monthly” basis. Pay As You Go rates range from $9 to $150; while Monthly rates range from $20 to $35 per month.

Monthly rates enable users to send unlimited emails, and pricing is based only on the number of subscribers — $10 for up to 500 subscribers, $15 for up to 1,000 subscribers, $20 for up to 1,500 subscribers, $25 for up to 2,000 subscribers, and $35 for up to 2,600 subscribers.
Pay As You Go rates depend on the number of emails you send — $9 for 300 credits, $30 for 1,000 credits, $60 for 2,000 credits, $100 for 5,000 credits, and $150 for 7,000 credits. One credit is equal to one email sent to every subscriber. For example, if you need to send an email to 500 subscribers, you need 500 credits. Credits do not have an expiry date.
If you need more advanced features for your email marketing campaigns, there is an upgrade available as an add-on to paid plans — the Pro plan. This costs $199 per month and offers additional marketing features like multivariate testing and advanced segmentation.
