Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Eric Schmidt, Tim Armstrong, and Matt Cutts
If you’re in the business of search engine optimization (SEO), the name Matt Cutts may have come to mind even before those of the founders. Through his blog posts and videos, he communicates messages from Google to the SEO world. Recently, he strongly advised against guest posting to low-quality blogs as a way of link building. This comes on the heels of Google encouraging press release services to make the links inside press releases “no-follow” (have no search engine benefit).
What link building practice is Google going to go after next? My guess is infographics . Essentially, the same content / image gets shown on multiple websites with little variation.
