Once you complete the necessary continuing education courses, log on to eAccessNY and select “List of Licenses (Access your license here)” from the Main Menu page. If you have multiple licenses in New York, select the relevant license; then click on “Renew License” and “Next Step” to begin the renewal process.
On the next page, review the listed “Office/Sponsorship” information and confirm that it is correct. If your office information is incorrect, pause the renewal process until your sponsoring broker has corrected the information. If it’s correct, answer the on-screen questions and click “Next Step” to advance to the application affirmation stage.
The application affirmation page requires you to check the “I Agree” box, which affirms that you have met the requirements for renewal—including all continuing education course requirements. After you affirm your application, click on “Next Step” to continue to the payment page where you will enter your credit card details. Once your payment details are confirmed, click on “Submit” once to charge your credit card the amount displayed on the page ($55 or $155).
After you complete the online renewal process, you will get a confirmation page that shows your renewal has been submitted. However, this confirmation does not mean that your renewal has been approved. The New York Department of State must still review your application to ensure to ensure it is complete and meets New York’s renewal requirements.
6. If Necessary, File for an Extension
