When you sell your business you’ll pay off any outstanding debts that your business has, or that you’ve agreed to pay during the sale negotiation process. For example, if you sell your business in a. stock sale then you’ll likely be agreeing to pay some of the outstanding liabilities if there are some outside the normal course of business.
