I recently ran a newspaper ad using a 3×3 (peel-off) sticker that was affixed to the local paper with a circulation of about 30K. The ad cost $400 for the first run and set-up charges, but additional runs were only $250.
Consider letting the paper’s sales person know that you want to run several ads over several months in order to get the best rates. They may have to outsource printing of the stickers or print up several thousand stickers at one time to get you the best prices. In addition, I did my own artwork, as the publication would have charged more to do design and graphics.
Newspaper ads prices are based on their circulation, their subscribers and their own pricing model — especially when it comes to something like the peel-off stickers (which I preferred, hoping readers would peel and save the information). Helpful articles are linked below.
