What does the company do well?
This is a super flexible software, especially at it’s price point, that can accommodate most small to medium business requirements within a broad spectrum of industries.
What does the company not do well?
For me I get some frustration with some workflow UI things. - Some windows stay open when workflow dictates or implies that after recording a transaction there shouldn’t be a window open. (Time Billing from slips) - Expandable windows are a bit across the map and make typing in them after activating them clunky. Examples: - Allocation memo in Spend Money is jumpy & the window opens away from the cursor. - When editing text in a live transaction (as opposed to one that was previously recorded) highlighting won’t appear highlighted but in reality it is making it easy to type over text you intend to keep.There’s a few other anomalous quirks but none, including those mentioned are deal breakers.
What about the company do you wish you had known before purchasing?
I’m a long time user – since 1999 – and there is no regret or hindsight “I wish I’d known” feeling. AccountEdge has been owned and distributed by several software companies in it’s (and my) lifetime. I feel the current owners and crew at Acclivity are solid. They care about evolving & moving the product forward as time goes by.
