What does the company do well?
Avaya has been around many years, they have experience, they are a true enterprise-level vendor that has offerings in the small-business space, but they also provide world-class routing.
What does the company not do well?
besides their cloud-based offerings there is too much of a dependence on hardware, that is one of the biggest issues for our organization we needed to find a way to scale without being hardware dependent.
What about the company do you wish you had known before purchasing?
We really knew what we needed to when we purchased the Avaya platform, but that was in 1999, since then a lot has changed in the cloudspace and telephony, and Avaya has done a decent job keeping up, but there are other companies that are more hungry and agile and scalable, so right now Avaya wasn't in the competition for us, we are migrating to a cloud telephony provider.
