What does the company do well?
Infor CRM allows users to easily create new customer records, organize them according to associations with other records based on organization hierarchy, vendor connections or other criteria; link associated documents to any desired records; set alarms and tasks; and search the database based on user-defined criteria such as account name, location, etc. It allows customization which we have used to tailor the interface, e.g. by adding a "description of business" window that permits the user to input key facts in an easy-to-find spot. Overall, relatively trouble-free operation.
What does the company not do well?
The Alerts popup screen is intrusive and can interfere while user is typing. Account lookup is not very "intelligent." It doesn't auto-populate and is unforgiving of typos or non-exact-match spelling. Many menus are replete with un-defined or irrelevant options and descriptions. One of my pet-peeves is that entered data is lost unless you click the save icon. If you toggle to another screen and back, the new entry is lost. A common bug is changing the contact person for an activity on the fly. Sometimes it will indicate there is a duplicate contact for the activity when there is not. I am unable to link documents over about 3MB to my records although this may be an internally set limit. No ability to highlight or customize fonts when creating notes. I am not aware of any ability to search individual notes or Notes/History tab for key words.
What about the company do you wish you had known before purchasing?
Not easy to get direct assistance. Our company uses a consultant. Not sure how else it could be done.
