What does the company do well? Talk.to makes it easy and free to add a chat help feature to your website. I'm generally skeptical of free services unless I can tell how they are making their money. This one has additional features to sell - like, removing their branding, having their live agents answer your chat sessions for you, and doing more with video and screen sharing. But, you can do quite a bit with the free version and it has all the features I would hope for.You can schedule when it is available and have an auto-reply set if you don't respond to the person right away. This is really helpful so you don't have to remember to turn it off every time you step away from your desk or something.I just have it setup for myself to answer chat sessions from a particular portal of our website where people can login to register for things. People will ask with help logging in or ask questions about the event they are registering for. They seem to like it. It looks like you can also use this with a team of people answering chats, but I haven't tried that.
What does the company not do well? I would expect them to push their paid products more with constant emails and pop-ups, but they don't. I guess this is a good thing. I just hope they're making enough to keep this product free.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using? I just wish I had known about it sooner.
