What does the company do well?
Users are able to directly sync outlook accounts, contacts, and tasks. The tool also allows edits and corrections to the data within Salesforce. One thing I really appreciate is that you have the option to note the contents of the email or task to the account, opportunity, and/or contact. Other tools I've used only have the contact and opportunity ability. This makes a huge difference for us. Also, the tool is incredibly simple.
What does the company not do well?
The one thing that frustrates me completely is how difficult it is to log into the admin tool. I don't need to very often and I don't have it bookmarked. There is no login link from the contact monkey site that I could find. I finally had to search to find a link to login and manage the accounts.Sometimes the connection to from Outlook to Salesforce is a little slow but I suspect this has more to do with our configuration.We heavily use grandparent/parent/child opportunities - with parents having many children. Our desire is to be able to sync at a specific level (or record type) but this is not possible in this tool (probably not in any others as well). Because of this limitation, we really are not able to use the update opportunity feature. This is more of a feature request rather than a dislike.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using?
Right after we started using this tool, Salesforce came out with a lightning enabled outlook integration. I haven't looked at it yet because we still have several months on our contract.As a side note, we've always received very good customer service from our rep.
