What does the company do well?
Emma has an array of wonderful templates with simple drag and drop design features that make easy and customizable creation of email campaigns, invitations, and newsletters . There's also a great way to embed customized signup forms and lightboxes for websites to build your audience and automate lists. It's especially useful when combined with Google Forms and Eventbrite for tracking RSVPs and compiling emails, orders, and preferences. The metrics are powerful and informative so you can see how many people and precisely who has interacted with what element, link, or call-to-action.
What does the company not do well?
I would love the availability of access to more webfonts and incorporation of sets like Google Fonts to expand the look of some of the designs without having to bring in images of custom text for headers, etc. It would be great if you could also export campaigns as a .pdf that didn't interrupt the flow or dissect the design. Another needed feature is the ability to share designed campaigns across several logins within the same organization without the need to have them administratively linked.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using?
I had the fortune of test-driving the software for my University before making a decision on the usability, frequency, and price per usage before I committed to it.
