What does the company do well? I love that Canva is a great solution for a small business that either doesn't have a design team, or has projects that don't have the budget for a design team. At my company we have a lot of social media clients, internally and externally. Canva has allowed us to take a stab at creative custom graphics for clients without always having to get a designer to make them. They have great templates for graphics and text and they're all sized for a specific platform like Facebook or Instagram.
What does the company not do well? Canva isn't always the easiest tool to use. Trying to manipulate templates can be hard, especially if you want to change text or graphics. The new update isn't the best either. While it made the interface look prettier, the new sorting doesn't make sense. You can't sort by post type, like infographics anymore. Instead all of the posts are geared toward industry which doesn't always work.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using? I wish I had known more about their customer support. They offer great features for their Canva for Work platform, which we have, but they're not accessible for some reason. Having to navigate the site alone, without customer support to rely on can be difficult.
