What does the company do well?
Norton Security is the ultimate all in one security solution for consumers and home office. The anti-virus, spyware and malware modules are very robust, but also unobtrusive unlike competitor McAfee, whose scanning heuristics can cause an unwanted CPU load. The firewall works like a charm and in the background and only notifies the user when it is necessary to do so. They also throw in some optimization modules to clean the Recycle Bin and Windows Temp Files.
What does the company not do well?
There really is nothing that Norton doesn't do well, giving them a rebuilt reputation as among the best in the business following nearly-damaging false starts in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 that allowed the likes of Bitdefender and Kaspersky to rise and allow McAfee to reemerge in spite of their ongoing issues from users.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using?
There is nothing I wished I had known before using. Going back to them was the right decision.
