What does the software or service do well? Weebly definitely makes it easy to set up an online store without any coding or design experience. All I needed to do was upload photos, write in a description, and be on my merry way. I appreciate the integration with Square, so that it's easy to handle sales at trade shows as well and still keep my inventory in order. There are even SEO tools built-in so that I can set the URL "slug" of each page and write a brief description that will show up on the results page of major search engines. It allows integration with Square, PayPal, and Shippo, so payment processing and order fulfillment is very easy.
What does the software or service not do well? There are several key features that I wish were available. You cannot rotate photos once they are uploaded. You also cannot include tax in the price of your items -- which is frustrating if you are integrated with Square, which DOES offer that option. When I searched the forums for these options, I saw that they have been requested by many users over the years, but never implemented. So it does not seem that they are quick to consider user feedback.
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using? If I'd had a choice, I wouldn't be using it at all, but it is now owned by Square and was therefore the only option offered for an online store when I set up a Square account. I may have done more research into other options had I realized this, but overall it's working well for my purposes.
