What does the software or service do well?
Our organization uses Namely for: - Time off management - Performance reviews - Goals setting - Employees data: skills, experience, compensation, teams&allocations - Organization charts Being in cloud, Namely provides an easy, simple and efficient solution for all the above to a global company as eSilicon. The User Interface is very user-friendly providing a nice user experience
What does the software or service not do well?
The configuration of the flow for the performance reviews is not complex enough for our needs, compared to our previous solutions. Our HR had trouble in coming up with the flow people were already used in the previous years and eventually they ended up doing some steps manually. The notifications on the top of the page need improvement: it is not as straightforward as people are used to, in other systems. The need for API for systems integration: Namely should invest in providing more API functionalities for organizations that need to integrate with other systems, like ERP(NetSuite) or a timesheet application(OpenAIR).
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using?
Not having the ability to configure a well designed flow for performance reviews is somewhat disappointing. Also the integration capabilities provided by Namely need improvements.
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare?
We were using SuccessFactors before Namely and in some areas it was better. However in my opinion, Namely is much better in terms of user experience and satisfaction.
