What does the software or service do well?
We like the fact that new users can so easily sign up with WePay if they are not already signed up with them. This greatly reduces the barrier for action. Likewise, WePay worked with us (DonorTiles.com) to reduce the transaction fees for the non-profits.
What does the software or service not do well?
In the past there were more updates than we'd like. This caused us to have to spend more money on updating our system which is hard for a startup. But there seem to be fewer updates now while still keeping the system stable.
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using?
Nothing that I can think of.
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare?
We've used PayPal in other ventures in the past. PayPal definitely has more name recognition and better market saturation. But we think WePay is easier for signing up, i.e. loading, new customers, and WePay has better rates for us in the nonprofit world.
