What does the software or service do well? iCIMS is a robust Applicant Tracking System that is able to provide organizations with all the tools necessary to engage, attract and on-board new hires into your organization. They have an endless amount of reporting and customization available within the product.
What does the software or service not do well? They have been a little behind the times addressing how applicants are finding jobs and how they want to apply to them. They are making strides in addressing this with acquisitions and new integrations. Some customers may jump ship to other ATS's who have embraced these changes quicker if the pricing is better. iCIMS is not cheap but, it is competitive with the big players in this space.
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using? My best advise for anyone vetting an ATS is to know your process and identify the core aspects of that process that you must have in order to feel comfortable with that software. Think about all things you want your ATS to interact with and how your want your processes to unfold in the system.
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare? I cannot compare to other competitors since we have only used iCIMS in the recent past. We may explore other ATS's later this year as we are in the final year of our agreement.
