What does Jira Software do well? The ability to identify the sprint, assignee, upload files, and specify Confluence pages is helpful to link related product feedback to the JIRA task.
What does Jira Software not do well? In my experience, JIRA doesn't organize tasks and sub-tasks as well as I would like. Plus, it's confusing to have "Importance" as a field along with "Priority."
What do you wish you had known about Jira Software before using? That it was not as user-friendly as other project management systems. Granted, JIRA is designed for product teams and not marketing, so that could be contributing to my preference for another software.
Have you used a competitor to Jira Software? If so, how does it compare? Asana, it's much better in my opinion at organizing tasks and sub-tasks and being able to assign projects to a board.
