What does Drift do well?
I use Drift as a customer engagement tool on my website and it is wonderful. It allows me to quickly interact with any potential clients on my website and it stores their information on the backend so I can remarket to them. It also provides a report at the end of each week with how many chats you had and the results of each chat. I really like how you can assign status's to each conversation for easy tracking. They also allow you to block users based on IP which is a great feature when someone is using the chat feature for inappropriate reasons.
What does Drift not do well?
I really have no complaints as far as functionality is concerned. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to make the dashboard a little cleaner and more concise, the user interface is a bit lacking. Their instructions on the features of the application could also be made more clear.
What do you wish you had known about Drift before using?
I wish I knew of the ability to block users based on IP. That was not well explained and I had to do a lot of research to find out how to do that.
Have you used a competitor to Drift? If so, how does it compare?
I have used a few other Live Chat apps and by far Drift is superior. The other ones were paid apps so the price is definitely right with Drift and it can do the same as the other paid apps plus more.
