Build a search engine and human friendly website: If you already have a website make sure it’s compatible with intelligent web aka web 3.0 and enhance it for image and voice search. Create a blog under your domain and write at least once a week quality content for your targeted users. Monitor your hosting or server performance. If your website is the best but it is running on a cheap web hosting which is down during night time for server maintenance, it won’t have a good impact on your web performance. If you are sharing your web space with 20+ other domains, it will have a negative effect on the website‘s performance.

In terms of on-site SEO, Title Tags are still numero uno when it comes to influencing rankings. I just did this for Tidings.com last month. Even for an SEO veteran like me, it is always amazing how many pages aren’t targeting a keyword/keyphrase I care about, and at least in my case, I was shocked at the number of tag and category pages Google has indexed that weren’t targeting a keyword at all. Even SEO novices can perform this search and highlight pages for their marketing staff or web developer to improve. (As an aside, it is the best way I know to audit your SEO agency, since Title Tags are the first thing any reputable practitioner will look at, and fix if necessary.)
