What ShareFile Does Well
Users who gave ShareFile a positive review mentioned that they like the app’s security and how easy it is for them to store, access, and share their files of all sizes. Others said that they appreciate ShareFile’s collaboration functionality, as well as their helpful and readily available customer representatives.
“ShareFile stores all of our company’s files securely and safely and yet they are still easily accessible when needed. We can safely share files among our own staff and also with our clients. We’ve been using it for several years, and we’ve rarely had issues at all – the few times that we have had a problem, their customer support was outstanding.”
What ShareFile Does Not Do Well
Most users emphasized how pleased they are with the software. However, one user commented that their desktop program is more complicated than similar platforms, and another said that their Drive Mapper app is quite unstable at times.
“The desktop software is a little more convoluted and confusing than some other services (I’m thinking mainly of Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive). It isn’t always obvious if your files are up-to-date or tracking the versioning of files from the desktop software.”
ShareFile has four paid subscription options, billed quarterly: Personal ($20/month), Team ($75/month), Business ($125/month), and Virtual Data Room ($395/month). For users who opt for annual billing, they are provided a 20% discount on their subscription. The main differences between the plans are the number of employee users, amount of storage included, and more.

Other fees for each additional employee account are as follows: $8 for the Team plan and $10 for the Business plan.
