Most Helpful Positive User Review
A positive reviewer from the site G2 Crowd said SonicWall an incredibly powerful firewall with proactive threat protection. Among the many features he highlighted are the creation of multiple and isolated vlans, the built in VPN capabilities with a dedicated vpn client for Windows, and the capability to enable an L2TP server for use on other systems. He also noted the multiple hardware tiers for businesses of all sizes. He said that with a subscription, threat protection rules and firmware are kept up-to-date and customer support is quite good (and very necessary).
Most Helpful Negative User Review
A reviewer from G2 Crowd said that set up of a SonicWall device is not for the faint of heart. He would not recommend it to someone who doesn’t have the experience, time, and proclivity to wade around (1) an unfriendly user interface, (2) a configuration model that is unique to SonicWall, and (3) status/monitoring/logging that somehow manages to be both saturating and devoid of useful information.
