1040 C
I am a Realtor and I have a home office. Could you please tell me which line on the 1040 C my home office is supposed to go on? Doesn’t it have to be used solely for an office if you are writing it off? Is it line 18 or line 30? Do my office supplies go on 18 and then the sq. ft. of my office and costs to have it on line 30? It makes a big difference. Please help! I’m so confused! Thank you!

I have written an article that walks you through step by step on how to complete Schedule C. Per this article, line 30 is where you need to put your expenses for your home office.
