My current desktop was built about 7 years ago and has Intel I-5 Processor and only 4 GB of ram, with 2 monitors and I am have noticed a significant slowing of the computer in the last couple months. I am usually running QB online and one online database and multiple windows of Word for the job that I do. My boss wanted me to look into a new computer if needed. I believe my biggest slowdown is my use of ram. I was thinking that is I increased my ram to 8 or 16 GB that would help – should I try and get something with a better processor?
I am looking for any suggestions on what to look for. I am probably looking at a budget of around $1000 or so.
I am not familiar with the the requirements for databases but I did some research and I was able to find the computer requirements for QuickBooks Online. Just click this link for more info: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1145516-system-requirements-for-quickbooks-online
