Business Broker Fees
If I’m using a business broker to sell a business, are there fees subject to any restriction for a potential buyer using an SBA 7a loan?
Hi Jeremy Hood,
Thank you for posting the question.
Typically, you would pay your business broker a commission for selling the business.
However, if your agreement with the broker is that the buyer will pay commission the SBA doesn’t have a strict rule with fees.
The only rule the SBA has for fees, is that they cannot be excessive, which is subject to their review in the final loan documents.
Hope everything with your business goes well.
