Is it a requirement to have a personal FB page to create a business page?
1) I/we the company, do not wish to allocate an employee the ability to have potentially have sole control of such a advertising page
2) Myself being the MD, have no interest in communicating at a personal level using social media, hence my question.3 Replies

Yes, you would need a personal profile in order to admin your page. You can set up a personal “business” profile, however, and not actually use that account for anything else- IE; your personal page is not required to be an active page, it just needs to exist in order to start a business page.3 Replies

You can create a business manager Facebook account that then manages your business Facebook page, allowing you to bypass the personal login and keeping your personal information private from company employees. Here’s a link to the information: https://business.facebook.com.
While you do need a personal account to create a business manager account, going this direction allows some separation between your personal and professional Facebook profiles.3 Replies

Thanks for reaching out. Like Nicole replied, you do need to have a personal account in order to create a Facebook Business Page. Granted, you don’t need to be active on your personal page or create any sort of presence on there (i.e., you could use a nickname to avoid using your real name, don’t upload any pictures, etc…).
Again, thanks for your question and hope this helps!3 Replies
