business mileage allowable tax deduction
I am self employed office cleaner using my vehicle to carry work tools, cleaning machines and supplies daily to my clients locations.
I travel 12 miles from my residence to first client, 8 miles from first to second client, then 13 mile back to residence for a daily total of
33 miles. How many of these miles are considered ‘ business miles ‘ and would be tax deductible?
Thank you should you respond

All of the miles that you travel for business are tax deductible. If you use the same vehicle for personal use, you will need to do a calculation to see what percentage of time you use your car for personal vs. business. Please check out our tax guide on standard mileage rate vs actual expenses to see which method will give you the best tax deduction:

If you don’t use a mileage tracker app, you should consider using one. I’ve included a link below to our top mileage tracker apps, both free and paid apps are included.
