Can I use CrateJoy if my online box business idea is not subscription based?
I have a great idea for a box delivery service but it would not require a subscription. Would it still be wise to use CrateJoys platform to get started?
You can sell non-subscription (one-time purchase) items on a Cratejoy website. However, doing that without a subscription product doesn’t maximize Cratejoy’s subscription box marketplace feature — which is the main reason for using Cratejoy. Shoppers come to Cratejoy’s subscription box marketplace to find new and unique subscription boxes. If you don’t offer a subscription box, then you’re not meeting the expectation of Cratejoy’s shoppers.
Plus, Cratejoy costs $40 per month, which is pricey compared to other top ecommerce platforms. For example, you can sell non-subscription items via Shopify or BigCommerce for just $29 per month. These platforms also let you list items on other sales channels like Amazon and eBay and sell via social media sites. Considering price and multi-channel reach, one of those platforms might be a better option for your non-subscription business than Cratejoy. Hope this helps, good luck!
