How to control chemicals and daily consumable inventory in a Lab
HI there,I work for a quality control Lab which is involved in Chemical testing. We have some 1000 liquid reagents and the same solid reagents.there are other daily consumable items which include syringes, multiple filters, pipettes, glass bottles, vials, and a lot more.Every now and the we run short of one item or the other due to poor inventory control.
i am looking for a simple inventory management tool to control my Lab inventory.
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards
With 1000+ stocked items to track, you need a digitized system that tracks via barcode or, better yet, electronic labels, at least on your fast-moving items. That helps you keep accurate counts, plus tracks usage for your purchase forecasting. There are many great inventory systems that you can use, but you’re best is to find one that’s geared toward your industry since you likely need to track specific regulations and other restriction data for certain chemicals. You’ll find that easy with a system designed to track such goods, it will have existing data fields to record this information if you wish.
