We are currently on QB’s Mac 2014 and need to update prior to doing any other upgrades on our system.
We were looking at just upgrading to 2016 desktop, but was curious about the online version.
Can you confirm that all of our company data and history that we have on QB’s now will be converted over? We have more than 10years of business history on our QB’s desktop. We are a small business, using accounts payable, inventory for sales, and customer jobs for invoicing services. I would be very concerned that our company financials would be effected, Profit and Loss etc. It would need to match with all of last years tax numbers.
Also, if we went with the online version, can we have multiple users?

I would highly recommend that you convert from QuickBooks Mac to QuickBooks Online or to QuickBooks Pro 2018. The primary reason is that Intuit is no longer going to offer the Mac version of QuickBooks. With that said, it sounds like QuickBooks Online Plus will work for your business. I recommend that you take a look at the following resources which will give you some insight into what will (and will not convert). I also suggest that you contact the Intuit support team and allow them to convert the data for you. They will do it for you free of charge.
