I am currently a student completing my accounting degree. I have 64 completed credits for my bachelor’s degree in accounting, do I need to still choose to program for someone with no formal education to become certified?
Thank you for your question. According to the article, both the AIPB and the NACPB offer the option to obtain the certification without requiring a formal education. If you are choosing to pursue a certification before your degree is complete, then yes, as long as you are able to meet the work experience requirements in time, you would need to apply to a program that doesn’t require a formal education.
