Customer is downloading properly from the bank website; however, when goes to import, nothing shows up though there are no error messages, and we do know the file has transactions in it. What could be preventing her from importing transaction detail?
Hi J. Henderson,
Assuming that you are downloading a bank statement into QuickBooks Online, it sounds like there are no transactions for the timeframe you are downloading for or some type of technical error is taking place.
If this is your first time importing transactions, most financial institutions will only allow you to go back 90 days. If you don’t have any transactions for the last 90 days that is why nothing is showing up. If this is not your situation, I would try to download your bank statement to a csv (excel format) from your bank’s website and then import that spreadsheet into QuickBooks.
Step by step instructions are included in this video tutorial:https://fitsmallbusiness.com/import-transactions-into-quickbooks/
