I was wondering if there is a restriction on the amount of value that can be offered on direct mailing content.
EX: can I send out a door hanger that claims that our firm will pay firth month mortgage if the customer brings the marketing material back to us and closes the deal with us?
I think we spoke a few minutes ago in another comment thread, but this is a good venue to discuss as well. Hopefully we can open up a conversation here.
Anyway, here’s my 2 cents on the issue:
As long as you’re not violating state and local disclosure laws, NAR regulations, local MLS guidelines, and RESPA, then you are generally free to make your leads any kind of offer you think they will respond to.
That said, be careful not to overdo it. Branding yourself as a discount agent can be hard to shake in smaller markets.
