Do I qualify for the NACPB-Certified by education?
I have a BBA in Management, but after graduation, I enrolled at a local community college to acquire the remaining hours to become CPA eligible. Will that satisfy the requirement?
Here are those requirements:
-Hold a baccalaureate or higher degree from a board-recognized United States college or university, or an equivalent degree as determined by board rule from an institution of higher education in another country.
-Complete150 semester hours or quarter-hour equivalents of college credit.
-Complete 30 semester hours or quarter-hour equivalents of upper levelaccounting courses from a board-recognized college or university, of which 15 semester hours or quarter-hour equivalents must be in traditional face-to-face courses. Within the coursework two-semester hours of accounting or tax research and analysis are required.
-Complete 24 semester hours or quarter-hour equivalents of upper-level relatedbusiness courses. Within the coursework two-semester hours of accounting or business communications are required .
-Complete a 3-semester-hourBoard-approved ethics course.
Based on the information that you have provided, it sounds like you do meet the education requirements for the NACPB. I recommend that you contact them directly to confirm. If you visit their website, you can click on the link I included (above) it will take you to their contact page. There is a telephone number you can call and an email address to ask your questions about certification.
Best of luck,
