How can I require that my customers pay me by check? When my customer pays me by credit card on a $5000.00-invoice, the credit card company takes $200.00 in fees. I prefer a check payment. What should I do?
Hi Belle, I’m not sure what you use to manage your customer payments. However, if it is QuickBooks, you can easily turn off the credit card payment option. The other thing that you want to be sure and do is put this in writing and provide it to your customers. One downside to only accepting payment by check is that it may take longer for you to receive payment, which could affect your cash flow.
