I’m considering purchasing Salesforce, but am worried that it will be difficult for me to use since I’m not very tech savvy. How much training does it take to feel comfortable using the system? Is it pretty intuitive?
Will you be a Salesforce Admin or an end user? There is a bit more learning involved of you will be sys admin, however, Salesforce provides an incredible amount of free training, as well as a massive amount of community support. They have paid training that goes more info depth as well. The paid training is available in person and online. Either way, I found Salesforce very easy to use. I also spend a lot of time on the Trailhead, which is the free training site, learning as much as I can. If you are in charge of purchasing, my main piece of advice would be to have a very good understanding of what data you want and what you want Salesforce to do with that data. Since Salesforce is so customizable, you want to make sure it is properly set for your organization’s needs.
Salesforce can be easy to learn. You need the right tools to be able to understand all the capabilities it has to offer. However, if you want to use it as a basic way to keep track of customers then it is fairly easy to learn. One idea might be to have someone at your company spend more time training to be an admin for when your company grows and has more needs with the system!
