Email announcing press release as attachment
This is a proposed email to various newspapers that we would like to let them know about an event coming to our community and attaching the formal press release. Is this acceptable?
Attached is a news release from LifeWay Women’s Events of Nashville, Tennessee, concerning a women’s conference coming to the Resch Center, Green Bay in April. Beth Moore is a best-selling author and Bible study teacher whose studies and events have impacted women’s lives around the world. This event is expected to draw from all over the state of Wisconsin within a 300-mile radius of Green Bay. In addition, we are learning of groups from Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota organizing busloads to come for this weekend—April 13-14. Beth Moore was born in Green Bay and is celebrating her 20th year in the ministry of Living Proof. Her last visit to her place of birth was 2009 and drew thousands of women from all over the region.
Living Proof Live Green Bay has a local core team of women serving in different communities to share this event. We welcome the opportunity to share the local perspectives on this event and recommend contacting Mary Ann Orth, City Coordinator to help make those connections. Several resources and promotional tools for this event are available to you upon request.
Thank you for the opportunity to present this event to you.
Hi Mary Ann,
I would add an extra sentence near the top describing the focus & activities of the event.
“…around the world. The event will focus on [insert here]. This event is expected to draw…”
As a newspaper or publication receiving your press release, I could use a little more detail to figure out if the event is right for my readers. It should go at the top so I can figure this out quickly.
Other than that, all looks good!
