I already have a domain name through a company. I want a business email BUT I do not want to use the entire domain name in the email address. I seem to be having issues trying to identify a company that will allow me to get my business email address UNLESS it uses my complete domain name. Can I get email address “email@example.com while my domain name is “kmcdezigntech.com (I want to remove the ‘tech’ from the email address-a small change but seems impossible. All the companies I’ve tried & its been many want to use the ‘kmcdezigntech’ in my business email address). Thank you, fro your help.
I don’t know of a back-door way to do this. Not saying there isn’t one, but it’s not something that’s usually done. Have you thought about getting a separate url and email set up and just mail forwarding that to your usual box? That’s the only fix I know. If your domain hosting company doesn’t have good support to ask if there’s another way to handle it, call BlueHost or GoDaddy. Both have excellent tech support and will tell you if it’s feasible.
