Email recurring orders and let customers edit orders themselves
I need to replace out shop database. On top of all the normal software requirements, we would like customers to be able to change regular in terms of quantity of items on the order, as well as add any item from the shop, and leave a note. This could be done by logging onto a web page or a dedicated app. This information needs to feed into the main accounting software that will generate a delivery list.
In an ideal world the delivery list (either an app or web page) needs to be able to communicate with a mapping app/page, and feed delivery results or notes back to the main accounting software that will feed to the ordering page the results of the order.
Can this be done with something off the peg with something like quickbooks with the right plugins/haks/add onns/an app designed to communicate with it?2 Replies

Thanks for the reply Catherine
When I said database I was referring more the back office accounting type stuff for which we probably will end up using quick books. The owner is reluctant to change host although I will look into this.
Reading my initial query I see I did not explain myself too well. We sell wholesale, online, in shop and regular deliver. Th
The main query is around inventory management. In particular the management of regular orders and giving the customer the ability to edit their regular order directly. Any suggestions that excel in this area of customer communication, and delivery management, execution and reporting are most welcome. Quickbooks have pointed me to their vast app store.
