Have you ever spent time in a minority community or worked with a minority compa
I read your article and we are way disconnected I work with Hispanic and black owned businesses every day. And there is no Funding for them they are getting denied every day. To me this is written by someone who is totally disconnected from the minority community!
I do appreciate your comment, and it’s true that there aren’t a lot of loan programs specifically for minority business owners in the US.
Here’s our recent article Where to Get a Small Business Loan for Minorities on this topic, where we write, “As discussed above, there aren’t many loan programs designed specifically for minorities. However, there are plenty of other resources aimed at helping minorities get financed and build a successful business.”
That really gets at the reality I think–while there aren’t a lot of places specifically designed to provide grants or loans to minority businesses, there are some free or low cost resources available which provide general business mentorship and guidance (e.g. SCORE, Local SBA Offices, Local Chambers of Commerce). For some businesses, that might be helpful.
Again, thanks for visiting our website.
