Kumusta Daniel,
My name is Brad I am an American currently living in Sweden, but I will be returning to America in 2019. I am thinking of moving to SC and I am curious as to the future of real estate sales there. Since I am in my early 50s, I want to find a state that I can buy a house in and retire. I passed the required testing for a real estate license in PA, a very long time ago, but could not find work. Could you tell me if there is a future in real estate sales in SC? It appears to be improving there.
Thank you
Brad
Hi Brad:
Thank you for your question. The real estate market in SC does seem to be improving and houses are appreciating according to available data. South Carolina is a popular place for retirees due to its warm weather and coastal towns. Of course, it would depend on what part of the state you are moving to but certain areas like Charleston and its surrounding neighborhoods offer historic homes with Southern charm that many buyers find appealing. Single family homes tend to be more popular here than apartments.
Best of luck,
Allison
