Hello, I need to write a termination letter to someone who has been operating the website for the non-profit club I run. His services have not been up to par, and he is asking too much, and we have decided to go with a different company. He currently owns our domain, and the other members and I were hoping he would sell the domain name to us. I need help wording the letter so his feelings are not hurt(as he is also a member of the club), and he would be willing to sell us the domain.
Thanks in advance for your help.
That’s getting close to possible legal issues so we can’t advise on that type of request. You might want to check with an attorney to see where your rights stand in relation to ownership of the group’s name and, therefore, domain. With that information, you’ll know if you’re in a tenuous or strong situation (legally speaking) when you ask. Good luck!
