I received the following question via email and wanted to share this with everyone:
I am a QBO proadvisor and wish to offer this service to clients. My question to you, is if I work with clients virtually how do I have them send me the desktop file to import? Would it be easier to hop on virtual call with Slack and send it digitally that way?
Hey Jessica, this is a great question! So there are two ways you can obtain your client’s QuickBooks files:
Sign up for a cloud storage account like DropBox. Set up a folder for each client, share the folder with your client so they can upload the QuickBooks file and share it with you.
Have your client save their file as a portable copy by going into QuickBooks and clicking on the File menu and then select Send QuickBooks file as a portable copy. Have your client email the portable file to you.
Hope this helps.
